Lost - Action Genre conventions

LOST:
What Action conventions lie in the series lost?
-       At the start of the scene we see a plane with passengers aboard  when we are introduced to Charlie a drug taking addict who hides away in the toilet whilst he takes an illegal substance.  The score builds up as airline crew gets irate about the situation and asks him to leave during this moment the planes power is lost and begins to fall. Half the plane has broken off using special effects  to show the plane and  passengers for fall into the sky. High alarm bells ring when oxygen masks fall increasing the tension.
-       This episode shows a high demand of enigma codes proving that this series is  for a mainstream audience as we are constantly guessing what will happened why it happened. Such as  when we see a pair of handcuffs on the floor with a  close up shallow focused shot ,this is too show the importance of this item giving narrative clue’s to the mainstream audience accompanied with score to give direction to there emotion. Also in this episode we are shown a polar bear out of its habitat this instantly throws enigma codes to the audience as to why a polar bear is there?  Lost uses a gathering of enigma codes as they will use 4 to 5 different enigma codes as they have to consider ad breaks this keeps the audience in tension to watch.
-       We see a love interest between Jin and Sun who are a married couple who although doesn’t show a loving connection but are married due to the cultural issues and nationality issues we can tell that there is a relationship but it is a negative view. As Jin has power over Sun in certain scenes as he tells her to do her top button up showing a controlling husband.
-       In this episode we see one chase scene which is developed by score and medium shot of the leaves where the noise of the polar bear comes from where we see movement. The group then run away from the noise where Soya stays and pulls his gun out to shot the animal. We see a chase between pray and predators in this episode.
